Privacy Policy

Effective Date: April 29, 2026  |  Last Updated: April 29, 2026

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how Nexior Ventures LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information in connection with the QuickSum.AI platform, our website at https://www.quicksum.ai (the "Site"), and related services (collectively, the "Service").

QuickSum.AI is a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform that enables content publishers (such as bloggers and YouTube creators) to embed lead-capture widgets on their content. Visitors to the publisher's website submit their email address in exchange for receiving an AI-generated summary of an article or video — delivered directly to the publisher's chosen email service or CRM.

This Privacy Policy applies to two distinct categories of individuals:

  • Customers: Content publishers who purchase a QuickSum.AI subscription or lifetime license and use our platform.
  • End Users: Visitors to a Customer's website who interact with a QuickSum.AI widget and submit their email address.

Important architectural note: When an End User submits their email through a QuickSum.AI widget, that email is transmitted in transit only and delivered directly to the Customer's chosen destination (their email service provider, CRM, or workflow automation tool). We do not retain End User email addresses. The Customer is the data controller for End User information.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information We Collect from Customers

When you sign up for, purchase, or use QuickSum.AI as a Customer, we collect:

  • Account information: Name, email address, password (stored hashed), and account preferences.
  • Billing information: Payment is processed through Systeme.io, our checkout platform. We do not store full payment card numbers on our servers.
  • Subscription data: Plan type (Monthly subscription or Lifetime license), trial status, subscription lifecycle events, and renewal dates.
  • Configuration data: Widget settings, branding preferences, AI provider API keys and ESP/CRM credentials you provide (encrypted at rest), domain authorizations, and integration configurations.
  • Usage data: Login activity, dashboard interactions, feature usage, and product analytics.
  • Communications: Support tickets, email correspondence, and feedback submissions.
  • Affiliate program data: If you participate in our affiliate program, we collect tax identification information required for commission payouts, payment account details, and conversion tracking data.

2.2 Information Processed in Transit on Behalf of Customers (End Users)

When an End User interacts with a QuickSum.AI widget embedded on a Customer's website, we process the following data in transit only, transmitting it directly to the Customer's chosen destination (their email service provider, CRM, or workflow automation tool):

  • Email address submitted by the End User in exchange for an AI-generated summary.
  • Source URL — the article or video page where the widget was used.
  • Timestamp of the request.

We also temporarily process technical metadata (IP address, browser user agent) for security, fraud prevention, abuse detection, and rate-limiting. This metadata is retained in operational logs for up to 30 days and is not associated with the End User's email address in our systems.

We do not retain End User email addresses. End User emails are delivered to the Customer's configured destination(s) and are stored solely by the Customer in their own systems. Aggregated, anonymized analytics (such as total widget views and conversion counts) are retained to provide the Customer with performance reporting.

2.3 Information We Collect Automatically

When you visit our Site or use our Service, we automatically collect:

  • Log data: IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL, pages visited, and timestamps.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: As described in our Cookie Policy.
  • Analytics data: Aggregate usage patterns via Google Analytics and similar tools.

3. How We Use Information

3.1 Customer Information

We use Customer personal data to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Service.
  • Process payments through Systeme.io, manage subscriptions, and handle refunds.
  • Send transactional emails (account confirmations, payment receipts, trial expiration notices, security alerts).
  • Provide customer support and respond to inquiries.
  • Send product updates, feature announcements, and marketing communications. You may opt out of marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email. Note that opting out of marketing communications does not remove you from our customer database; you will continue to receive transactional and account-related communications necessary to provide the Service.
  • Calculate and process affiliate commissions where applicable.
  • Detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent or unauthorized activity.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms and Conditions.
  • Improve and develop the Service through aggregated analysis.

3.2 End User Information

End User email addresses are transmitted in real time to the Customer's chosen destination and are not retained by us. Operational metadata (technical logs) is used solely to:

  • Deliver the AI-generated content summary that the End User requested.
  • Maintain Service security and prevent abuse.
  • Provide aggregated, anonymized analytics to the Customer about widget performance.

We do not use End User email addresses for our own marketing purposes. End User email addresses do not enter our marketing database.

4. Legal Bases for Processing (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we process personal data under the following legal bases:

  • Contract performance: Processing necessary to provide the Service you have purchased or to take pre-contractual steps at your request.
  • Legitimate interests: Operating, securing, and improving the Service; preventing fraud; enforcing legal rights; and conducting business analytics — where these interests are not overridden by your rights.
  • Consent: Marketing communications, optional cookies, and certain integrations. You may withdraw consent at any time.
  • Legal obligation: Compliance with tax, accounting, anti-money-laundering, and other applicable laws.

For End User data transmitted through the widget, the Customer (as data controller) is responsible for establishing the legal basis for processing.

5. How We Share Information

5.1 Service Providers (Subprocessors)

We engage trusted third-party service providers ("subprocessors") to assist us in operating the Service. These subprocessors fall into the following categories:

CategoryPurpose
Checkout, payments, and affiliate managementCustomer billing, subscription management, affiliate tracking, and transactional email automation. Payment processing is handled through Systeme.io, which uses major credit-card payment processors.
Hosting and infrastructureApplication hosting, database services, edge computing, content delivery, and security.
Transactional email deliveryDelivery of summary emails, account notifications, and other transactional communications.
Workflow automationRouting of widget submissions to the Customer's chosen destination (where configured by the Customer).
Content processing servicesRetrieval and processing of public web and video content for summary generation.
AnalyticsSite and product analytics. Includes Google Analytics.
Treasury and payoutsBank-level transfers for affiliate payouts and operational treasury.
Customer-provided AI provider (BYOK)AI summary generation using the Customer's own API key with the Customer's chosen AI provider.
Customer-provided ESP/CRM (BYOK)Email delivery to End Users using the Customer's own email service provider, CRM, or workflow tool credentials.

All subprocessors are bound by data processing agreements requiring them to maintain appropriate security measures and to process personal data only in accordance with our instructions.

A current and complete list of named subprocessors is available upon written request to hello@quicksum.ai. We will provide the list within 30 days of a verified request.

QuickSum.AI operates on a Bring Your Own Key (BYOK) model for both AI processing and email delivery. Customers provide their own credentials for an AI provider and an email service provider/CRM/workflow tool of their choice. AI processing and email delivery occur under the Customer's contractual relationships with those providers. We are not the AI provider or the email service provider, and we do not have a direct processing relationship with those providers for content summaries or email delivery on behalf of Customers.

5.2 Affiliate Program

Important: Please read this section carefully if you make a purchase through an affiliate referral link.

QuickSum.AI operates an affiliate program through Systeme.io, our checkout and affiliate management platform. If you make a purchase after clicking on an affiliate's referral link, the following data sharing occurs as part of the affiliate attribution process:

  • The referring affiliate can see your email address, name, and purchase details in their Systeme.io affiliate dashboard. This is the standard behavior of Systeme.io's affiliate platform and applies to all customers acquired through affiliate referrals.
  • The affiliate uses this information to verify their commission, manage the customer relationship, and provide post-purchase support related to the referral.
  • Affiliates are contractually bound by our Affiliate Program Terms to handle this information in compliance with applicable privacy laws and to use it only for purposes related to the referral relationship.
  • Affiliates may NOT use your information for unsolicited marketing campaigns unrelated to QuickSum.AI without obtaining your separate consent.

If you do not wish for the referring affiliate to have access to your purchase information, you may:

  • Choose not to use the affiliate's referral link and instead navigate directly to https://www.quicksum.ai to make your purchase.
  • After purchase, contact us at hello@quicksum.ai to request that your information be removed from the affiliate's view, where technically feasible within our platform constraints.

For purchases not made through an affiliate referral link, no affiliate data sharing occurs. We do not share information about non-referred customers with any affiliate.

5.3 Legal Disclosures

We may disclose personal data when we believe in good faith that disclosure is required to:

  • Comply with applicable law, regulation, court order, or other legal process.
  • Protect the rights, property, or safety of Nexior Ventures LLC, our Customers, End Users, or others.
  • Investigate, prevent, or take action regarding suspected fraud or violations of our Terms and Conditions.
  • Respond to lawful requests from government or law enforcement authorities.

5.4 Business Transfers

If Nexior Ventures LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or sale of assets, personal data may be transferred to the acquiring entity. We will notify affected individuals before personal data becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

5.5 What We Do Not Do

We do not:

  • Sell personal data to third parties.
  • Retain End User email addresses.
  • Use End User data for our own marketing purposes.
  • Rent or lease Customer or End User lists.
  • Share Customer information with affiliates other than the affiliate who referred that specific customer.

6. Artificial Intelligence and Automated Processing

The Service uses artificial intelligence (AI) — specifically large language models from leading AI providers chosen by the Customer (under the Customer's own API key) — to generate summaries of article and video content.

  • AI-generated summaries are based on publicly available content provided by the Customer through the Service.
  • AI-generated content may occasionally contain inaccuracies, omissions, or interpretations that differ from the source material. The Service should not be relied upon for critical or legally significant decisions.
  • QuickSum.AI implements a per-URL approval workflow as part of its standard operation. Generated summaries are subject to review and approval before they are made available to End Users. This human-in-the-loop step provides a meaningful review step in the AI workflow.
  • The Service does not make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects on individuals as defined under Article 22 of the GDPR.
  • End User email submissions are processed through standard automated systems but do not involve profiling or automated decision-making affecting the End User's rights.

Customers using BYOK should review their chosen AI provider's terms of service and privacy policy. Article and video content submitted to the AI provider for summarization is governed by the Customer's contractual relationship with that provider.

7. Your Rights

7.1 Rights for All Users

Subject to applicable law, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data, subject to lawful retention obligations.
  • Restriction: Request restriction of processing in certain circumstances.
  • Objection: Object to processing based on legitimate interests, including direct marketing.
  • Portability: Receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Withdrawal of consent: Withdraw consent for processing based on consent at any time.

To exercise these rights, contact us at hello@quicksum.ai. We will respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity before processing certain requests.

7.2 EU/EEA/UK/Swiss Residents (GDPR)

In addition to the rights above, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority. For Croatian residents, the relevant authority is the Croatian Personal Data Protection Agency (AZOP, azop.hr).

7.3 California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)

California residents have specific rights including the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to delete personal information, the right to correct inaccurate information, and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal information.

7.4 End User Rights

Because we do not retain End User email addresses, requests from End Users regarding their email submissions should generally be directed to the Customer (the website operator who deployed the widget). The Customer holds the data and can fulfill access, correction, and deletion requests. If you are an End User and cannot reach the Customer, contact us at hello@quicksum.ai and we will assist where possible.

8. Data Retention

We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Policy and to comply with our legal obligations.

  • Customer account data: Retained for the duration of your account, plus up to 7 years after account closure for tax, accounting, and legal compliance purposes.
  • Billing records: Retained for the period required by applicable tax law (typically 7–10 years).
  • End User submission data: Email addresses are not retained by us. They are transmitted in real time to the Customer's chosen destination and stored by the Customer in their own systems.
  • Operational logs (technical metadata): Retained for up to 30 days for security, fraud prevention, and rate-limiting purposes.
  • Marketing communications data: Retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion.
  • Support records: Retained for up to 3 years after the support interaction.
  • Aggregated analytics: Retained indefinitely. Identifiable analytics retained for up to 26 months.

9. Data Security

We implement technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal data, including:

  • SSL/TLS encryption for data in transit.
  • Encryption at rest for sensitive data, including stored API keys and ESP/CRM credentials.
  • Access controls and authentication requirements.
  • Regular security assessments and monitoring.
  • PCI-compliant payment processing through our checkout platform.
  • Automated backup and disaster recovery procedures.

No security system is impenetrable. While we work to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and notifying us immediately of any suspected unauthorized access.

10. International Data Transfers

Nexior Ventures LLC is based in the United States, and our service providers are located in various jurisdictions including the United States, the European Union, and elsewhere. When we transfer personal data from the EEA, UK, or Switzerland to countries that have not received an adequacy decision, we rely on appropriate safeguards including:

  • Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.
  • Compliance with the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework where applicable.
  • Other lawful transfer mechanisms.

11. Children's Privacy

QuickSum.AI is not intended for individuals under the age of 16 (or under 13 in the United States, in accordance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act, "COPPA"). We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under these age thresholds.

If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child below the applicable age threshold without verified parental consent, we will take steps to delete that information.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe we may have collected information from your child, please contact us at hello@quicksum.ai.

12. Customer Implementation Responsibilities

Important distinction. When a Customer deploys a QuickSum.AI widget on their website to collect End User emails, the Customer is the data controller for those End Users. We do not retain End User email addresses; we only transmit them to the Customer's chosen destination.

As a Customer, you are responsible for:

  • Maintaining your own privacy policy that discloses your use of QuickSum.AI to your visitors.
  • Establishing a lawful basis for collecting End User email addresses through the widget.
  • Honoring End User rights requests (access, deletion, etc.) in your capacity as data controller.
  • Complying with applicable laws including GDPR, CCPA, CAN-SPAM, and similar regulations in jurisdictions where your audience resides.
  • Configuring widget consent and disclosure language appropriate to your audience.
  • Maintaining the security of any email service provider, CRM, or workflow tool to which End User emails are transmitted.

Because End User emails are stored in the Customer's chosen destination (not in our systems), Customers can independently fulfill data subject requests without needing to coordinate with us.

13. Cookies

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies on our Site. Detailed information about the cookies we use, their purposes, and how to control them is available in our Cookie Policy.

14. Updates to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, services, or legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will:

  • Update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this Policy.
  • Notify affected Customers by email for significant changes.
  • Post a prominent notice on our Site for changes that materially affect users.

Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of an updated Policy constitutes acceptance of the changes.
